Holy Trinity Parish has many ways for you to volunteer your time and lend a hand. We have numerous committees, ministries, projects and special events for parishioners to get involved with.
Take a minute to peruse the list below to find something you may be interested in. Many of the committees and ministries have activities or projects that they need help with even if you are not interested in joining their group long-term. Volunteering is very rewarding and the satisfaction that you get from helping out is well worth the effort!
Here are a few of the opportunities that exist within our parish.
Altar servers assist the priest during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Being an altar server is a great opportunity for Catholic boys and girls of Holy Trinity Parish to serve God and His Church. Interested youth can begin serving in fourth grade and may continue into their high school years. Click here for more info.
The Parish Bingo is held in the school cafeteria every Friday evening at 7:00 PM. Holy Trinity’s bingo supports the parish and relies completely on volunteers. Helping out is very rewarding and many people have volunteered on a weekly basis for the last several years.
Building and Grounds Committee
This group offers advice and expertise on maintaining and improving our parish facilities. They are always open to new members with various skills and backgrounds helpful to the Parish.
Environment and Art Committee
Volunteers are always needed and welcome for various decorating tasks such as floral arranging, assembly of decor, placement of greens and other creative tasks.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion assist the priest at the Mass in the distribution of Holy Communion and also in bringing Holy Communion to the elderly and home-bound members of the parish.

Holy Trinity Ladies Guild
This group is open to all women of the parish (married, widowed and single) who are willing to assist and support the parish. The group meets monthly and sponsors and coordinates a wide range of activities. New members and volunteers are always welcome!
Knights of Columbus
Holy Trinity’s Knights of Columbus Council was formed in 1994, and has kept true to the Knights of Columbus founding principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism by centering on the Holy Trinity Parish, the Robinson Township community, the Pittsburgh Diocese, seminarian support, right to life and many other domestic and foreign Catholic outreach programs. The Worship Committee exists to ensure that the liturgical and musical life of Holy Trinity parish is vital, appropriate, and relevant. Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to get involved.
Lectors make the public proclamations of God's Word. On Sunday lectors do two readings, and on other special feasts and ceremonies, they serve in the delivery of various readings of the scriptures. There is a venerable saying that to sing once is to pray twice. Music adds beauty as we lift our minds and hearts to God in worship. At Holy Trinity, the Music Ministry strives for excellence as we seek to give glory to God. There are several groups within the Music Ministry. These include our Liturgy Committee listed above and –
Holy Trinity Mass Choir
Our Choir is comprised of very dedicated parishioners and sings at the 10:00 Mass each Sunday morning between September and May. Holy Trinity Cantors
Cantors are leaders of song for our liturgies. Each Cantor sings an average of two or three Masses each month, depending on availability. If you are interested in being a cantor, click here to learn more.
The Festival is one of Holy Trinity School’s largest fundraisers. Volunteers are needed in many areas and help is ALWAYS welcome. No matter what your interest or talent, there is something here for you to do. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and fellow parishioners and make friends you will cherish! Respect Life Committee
The Respect Life Committee works to raise the conscious of parishioners regarding life issues. They organize activities year-round. If you would like to get involved with this worthwhile group, the committee will be glad to have you! Click here for more info.
St. Vincent De Paul Society
Whenever there is a request for food, financial aid, or household furnishings the men and women of this organization spring into action by first assessing the need and then taking care of it. Our parish group works together with neighboring groups as well as with the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This small group is always looking for more volunteers to work with them. The Stewardship Committee was created to develop and foster a Christian Community atmosphere at Holy Trinity where the spiritual and social needs of parishioners can be realized by embracing Stewardship as a way of life. Being an usher is very rewarding and men and women are welcome to be an usher. Good ushers are “people-persons” who make people coming into the church feel welcome and appreciated. The Usher’s group is are always looking for reliable, conscientious, energetic, caring and dedicated people willing to serve. The Welcome Ministry’s goal is to provide a warm welcome to families and adults who are new to our parish and encourage current members to become active and involved in our parish in countless ways.
