Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Holy Trinity Parish will begin our annual journey of conversion to full initiation into the Catholic faith in late August. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the primary process by which adults desiring membership into the Catholic faith prepare and celebrate their journey of conversion culminating with the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. RCIA is also the process for those already baptized in another Christian faith to journey to Catholicism. Catholics needing to complete initiation with the celebration of Confirmation and/or Eucharist are invited to these sessions also.

If you or someone you know desires the sacraments of initiation, we invite you to walk the journey of conversion with us as we begin the RCIA sessions in late August. Please call the rectory or Anita Bridge at 412-787-1069 to register.

Prospective candidates also need parish sponsors who will walk with them during the initiation process. Sponsors have a special role in the life of the candidates as they are the ones who lead them and introduce them to the community activities, groups and prayers. We ask that you pray about answering the call to become a sponsor for one of our candidates.

For more information about this role, please call Anita Bridge at the previously cited number.
